llandegla, our last trail in Wales. I'd really built my hopes up for this one as i've wanted to ride it for ages , unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype . From here we head off to meet Ethan in Glentress in the Scottish Borders .
SNOWDON on the EMTB UK Roadtrip

I get to tick one off the bucket list on this one as i finally get to ride Snowdon. i leave lucy in the early morning sun to what turns out to be one of the best rides i've done for a long time. i show a good bit of the descent down the Ranger Path after climbing the llanberis path but one this one it's all about the riding.

Here is the re upload of our bike packing trip in 4K Join us as we head out for a wild camp for the first time in an age.Out on the Ebikes again we spend the night under a tarp on the SDW. One things for sure, it was brilliant to get back out there!

The shackles are off and we finally head back to Wales on a mini emtb road trip.Lucy gets to try out her new ebike on some proper trails as we spend three blissful nights in the campervan.There's also an update on the foxes and a few pov clips of each trail. One things for sure, its great to be back out again!

There's no such word as 'Bothy' in Welsh, it's likely to be a mispronunciation of the word bwthun, which is the Welsh word for cottage.

from your previous research on this trail, was there any reason why you chose that way around?
We wanted to start in Mex and get that killer climb over the col de jorat out of the way on the first day , it really is a slog up . I guess we just followed the direction of the race . At the time most of the vids on here were always taken on race day so I familiarised myself with the route that way round , it was a pain the road to Mex was closed and we had to do that climb on the last day . We only met one group doing it anti clockwise over the whole trip and I reckon walking down from that col would test your shins and knees for sure . It’d still be a top route either way .Are you thinking of doing it then ?
@2FeetForward yes hopefully mid September, we did the tour des Muverans last year, bit longer but very similar to this.

What do you use to filter the water please?
A good boil if it’s fresh and clear , otherwise we wind a life straw onto the end of our Ortlieb water bag 👍

@@2FeetForward I used to watch your camping videos, learned about the lanshan from you. Really enjoyed your videos but you seem to have stopped making them. Any plans for new videos?
To be honest I’ve probably 5 or 6 trips that I’ve videoed on the Mac but just can’t seem to find the time to edit any of them . That and the fact all my vlogging kit was stolen when we woke to a scumbag in the front of the camper in France 😡. The sod got our passports as well ! Once I replace all that there’s a good chance we’ll get uploading again 🤞. The Lanshan is still a great tent eh 👍

Just come across this via the search algorithm as it is. I always keep three days of food and water in my crash out kit (Go bag) which stays in the under boot of my car. Even if I venture out on a camp I still keep it replenished just in case. Never know when it will be needed. Usual kit inc. Fire starters and fero rod, spirit burner and billie can. 8 litres of water and comprehensive first aid ruck, that sort of thing. Brilliant video loved the drama of your adventure. Marly was the star of course!

The only failure I can see in these bothies is the stove is inside the fireplace instead of outside it . If placed outside the chimney the room heats up quicker and heat is dispersed over a larger area . that is my view for all its worth.
Hey , I'm considering this path on the summer, with a small dog (use to montaging hiking) but is small none the less (mini dachs) The scrambling on the way down to the watking path seems un easy. would you rather recommend the Pyg Track for dog ?
Yep and the climb is easy so she'll probably be able to do it all and you can just back pack her for the steep bits on the descent 👍

So it did look nicer until scum took tables and break plastic chairs, burnt a bunch of things and ruined it, now its horrible :( still okay place to stay, but takes a few to ruin it for everyone! barely any chairs now and just a mess
